Use Trader News to check TSLA for items from the last 12 hours. Separate news headlines from SEC 8-K filings. For each item, show its original link, source, category and New York publication time. Tell me what is new and what has not been verified. Do not turn a news tag into a buy or sell signal.

SEC requests need your own SEC_USER_AGENT in your environment. If no new items appear, Claude should report the window and check state instead of inventing headlines.

Example Claude response

Illustrative · based on the source project's dated example

Oct 19, 2026 · 10:15 a.m. New York time

TSLA news check · historical example
Yahoo feed: 16 headlines since 8:00 a.m. New York time.
Some items were tagged earnings or deal. No new SEC 8-K appeared in this check.
The tags describe topics; open the original items before drawing a conclusion.

A separate 10:52 quote in the source is not the time of this news snapshot. Topic tags do not establish a cause for a price move.

What it checks

FieldExplanation

Headlines

Recent ticker news with source links and publication times.

SEC filings

New company 8-K filings, kept separate from articles about them.

What's new

Items not shown in the previous check, newest first.

Price context

The ticker's move from the previous close, with its own quote time.

Keep company filings separate from media interpretations. Earnings and deal tags organize items; they are not verified trade signals.

Limits & sources

What the result can confirm

Which items the available feeds returned, their sources and reported times.

What it cannot confirm

That every relevant story was captured or that one headline caused a price move.

Yahoo feeds can lag or miss items. Filing time and article publication time differ. Open original items before relying on a summary.
