Use Trader Budget to size my saved paper-trade plan. Use my saved account and risk limits, and ask me for any missing rules instead of choosing them for me. Show the planned risk per share, the share count allowed by each limit, the rule that determines the final whole-share quantity, and the proposed order. Do not submit it.Your maximum planned loss, position cap, order cap and cash buffer are your choices. Claude should not loosen them to produce a positive share count.

Oct 19, 2026 · TSLA paper-plan example
Proposed TSLA buy · 8 whole shares
Entry $364.18; stop $358.32; planned risk $5.86 per share.
$50 loss limit ÷ $5.86 = 8 shares after rounding down.
Planned loss at the stop: 8 × $5.86 = $46.88.
The per-trade loss rule is the limiting constraint. No order was placed.
The historical position cap allowed 10 shares, the order cap 10 and the cash limit 12. The smallest of 8, 10, 10 and 12 determined the eight-share proposal.

| Field | Explanation |
|---|---|
Loss limit | The largest whole-share count that fits planned loss at the stop. |
Position cap | The share count that fits the account's position percentage. |
Order and cash | Maximum order value and cash remaining after the buffer. |
Proposal | The smallest allowed count and a proposed bracket order for review. |
A result of 0 shares / no proposal is valid if even one share exceeds a saved limit. The source's stop-at-$300 counterexample rejects the proposal rather than loosening limits.
Limits & sources
What the result can confirm
The proposed whole-share count under the saved plan and listed constraints.
What it cannot confirm
The actual fill price, final loss, broker acceptance or a Trader Risk PASS.
A higher real price changes planned risk and quantity; a stop can slip. A proposed quantity is not an order, broker acceptance or a Trader Risk PASS.
