Trader Risk Skill for Claude

Check a proposed trade against the risk limits you set before any broker ticket.

Install Day Trader Skill

Day Trader Skill is the author's GitHub project, not a skill preinstalled in Claude. This command opens its third-party plugin installation in Claude Code.

/plugin install day-trader-skill --marketplace https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/day-trader-skill.git

Confirm the GitHub source and installation scope in Claude Code. Installing the pack does not run Trader Risk.

Copy and send after installation

I want to check a proposed paper trade. Use my saved risk limits and ask me for any missing trade details or limits. Use Trader Budget to prepare the proposed order if needed, then run the Trader Risk checker. Explain PASS or BLOCK with the numbers and reasons. Do not place an order.

Have these details ready: ticker, planned entry, stop, target, account details and risk limits. If a required value is missing, Claude should ask before running the checker. A chat opinion is not a tool PASS.

Example Claude response

Illustrative · based on the source project's dated example

Oct 19, 2026 · 10:15 a.m. New York time

BLOCK · Proposed TSLA buy, 9 shares Loss at planned stop: 9 shares × $5.86 = $52.74 Your per-trade limit: $50 Why: $2.74 over your limit.

PASS: the proposed order passed the rules checked with available inputs; it is not a recommendation or order. BLOCK: a rule stopped the proposal. Read the reason and recheck when the order changes.

What it checks

FieldExplanation

The order

Order details, allowed assets, blocked symbols and stop information.

Your account

Order size, position limit and available cash.

This trade

Loss at the planned stop and the required reward-to-risk ratio.

Your trading day

Daily loss limit, trade count, duplicate orders and entry window.

The rules applied to an opening trade differ from those for an exit. Read the checks in your actual result; some exit constraints warn rather than block.

Limits & sources

What the result can confirm

Whether this proposed order passed the configured checks, and which numbers or rules caused a BLOCK.

What it cannot confirm

That the trade will profit, a stop will fill at its planned price, or a broker has accepted the order.

A PASS is a rules check, not trade approval. Confirm the current broker quote and exact ticket. Missing or stale inputs matter more than an illustrative response. Read a reported price-side PASS issue. User report · checked Nov 6, 2026; not a claim of our own test, universal failure or a shipped fix.
